Arngak Mining

In 2011, Groupe Promec established its first partnership in Nunavik with the creation of Promec Nunavik. The objective of this collaboration with representatives from the northern territory was to provide high-quality services in industrial mechanics, electrical work, piping and scaffolding throughout Nunavik.

Renamed Arngak Mining Inc. in 2017 following the addition of new partners, the company continues to pursue that same mission today

Construction Socomec

Since its founding in 1997, Construction Socomec has operated in Canada as a general contractor specializing in the installation of steel structures, piping and mechanical equipment.

Based in Sorel, the company also manufactures industrial piping. Meeting project schedules, controlling costs and delivering quality workmanship are at the core of the entire team’s commitment.

ProArctic

ProArctic is the result of a partnership between Groupe Promec Inc. and Inuit partners from Nunavut. Combining the expertise of the former with the latter’s knowledge of the territory offers a new alternative to the Nunavut community. Manage by a multidisciplinary team, ProArctic carries out various construction and industrial maintenance projects.

CreeMec was founded in 2026 through a partnership with two members of the Cree community of Waswanipi: Mr Marshall Icebound and Mr Harry Grant.

Les Aciers JP

Custom steel fabrication for forestry, mining and industrial sectors.
In 2024, Groupe Promec acquired an ownership stake in the La Reine–based company. Founded in 1991, Les Aciers JP began by providing installation services to lumber and OSB mills.

Today, the company stands out for its expertise in manufacturing custom steel equipment for the forestry, mining and industrial sectors. Its reputation extends beyond provincial borders, with tailor-made solutions shipped across Canada, to the United States and internationally.
